Ask a Question
  • How many pieces ate each arch comprised of. It looks like 2 per arch. Thanks

    Hello,
There are 8 pieces for the arch. 4 per arch. Then, there are 10 joiner bars to join the 2 arches. It also comes with 2 steel plates that it sits on and 2 ground spikes if you intend to use it outdoors. Please let me know if you have any others questions.

  • please help me understand this. Is this made of steel? can it rust? how do i prevent it from rusting in long run? i intend to place it outside in my yard along grow vines around it.

Thanks for your questions. It is made of steel, weighing about 70 pounds. It is powder coated to prevent rusting. Using it outdoors to grow vines would be wonderful!

  • What do you think the weight tolerance of this arch is? I would like to use it for a wedding and I am assuming that I would need to have roughly 50pounds on their.

Although I don’t know the exact weight tolerance, it is a very heavy duty arch. It is 2mm thick tubular steel, which is pretty thick for an arch. I’ve had many customers fully decorate it in flowers for a wedding with no issues. 50 pounds would definitely not be a problem. I’d say it could hold 100+ pounds easily.

Moon Gate 84"

It arrived so fast that I did not have time to track it. Put it together and placed in the garden within a few hours. I could not be any happier. The only problem we had was the screw holes on the base did not all lineup. Three of the four went in and seems solid enough.

Beautiful entrance point for my secret garden

I purchased the 108 inch heigh Moon Gate; I felt that the taller model would add more grandeur. It’s absolutely everything I hoped for and envisioned! It intrigues everyone who comes into my yard and calls to them to walk through the garden. Right now, I just have a lantern light hanging from the top. Next year I will plant a climbing plant to adorn it. I had a few problems with it upon delivery, but Erin at Henderson’s was a pleasure to work with and helped me to resolve my issue, quickly. I would not hesitate to work with Henderson’s in the future; a great company!

Questionable quality

For the money I would have expected a better quality product. 4 of the bar screws were bent which caused misalignment of the threads. I was able to get them installed but not optimal. It’s definitely a two person assembly. Took some time solo since it’s an awkward piece. Then the ground stakes. As soon as you hit anything firm the stakes bend. I live in IL where there are many rocks. 3 of the stakes are now useless as once you bend them and attempt to bend them back and reinstall then bend again. I plan to use rebar stakes instead.

Beautiful gate, but foundation (so very important) is very flawed.

The moon gate is beautiful and easy to install. However, the base is several inches too wide, leaving an entire row of screws incapable of being attached. Stakes to support base are too short and slick. I had to spend another $75 to secure such a top heavy piece to the ground.
